1． 选A no sooner… than刚……就…… ，主句一般用过去完成时，从句用一般过去时，no sooner放于句首，语序倒装。He had no sooner arrived home than he was asked to start on another business.
When要和 hardly, sacredly, barely,连用，意义和no sooner… than相同，如 Hardy had I closed my eyes when it began to imagine the most fantastic shapes.
2． 选A。现在完成进行时表示动作从过去某一时间开始，一直延续到现在，可能还要继续下去，通常与表示一段时间的状语连用。如He has been working on this essay since this morning.

Rise不及物动词，通常作“升高，向上去” My hopes are rising.
Happen发生，通常用来强调一件事情是偶然发生的。 Nobody realized what had happened to the great liner.
Proceed继续进行，开始 As soon as he came in, he proceeded to tell us all his troubles.
