高考前谨防“情境性失眠”,“情境性失眠”英语怎么说?

    高考在即,在大考将近的氛围中,如何“睡觉”也成为一门学问,有些考生因为压力过大,导致紧张失眠,甚至一些家长也开始焦虑。对此专家提醒称,考前出现焦虑是正常反应,考生和家长要学会科学地自我调整。

    Situational insomnia refers to a temporary form of insomnia that occurs as a result of short-term factors present in a person’s life, ranging from travel (sleeping in a strange bed) to changed life circumstances (e.g., job loss, divorce, death of a loved one, etc.). 
    ‘Doc, I’ve been up for three days. I need something for sleep — I feel like a dead man walking,“ a 26-year-old accounting student said as he was preparing for his CA exams. Though he’s suffering the full effects of insomnia, his sleep difficulty is short-term, and should resolve quickly. 
    Yet unlike the accounting student’s situational insomnia, our society is collectively suffering from a persistent lack of sleep.

    “情境性失眠”指的是生活中的短期因素导致的暂时性的失眠症,比如旅行途中(换了床睡觉),或者生活环境发生了改变(失去工作、离婚、至亲去世等等)。
    “医生,我已经失眠三天了,我需要睡觉。我感觉自己就像行尸走肉”,一位26岁的会计专业学生说,当时他正在准备认证会计师考试。尽管他饱受失眠症困扰,但他的睡眠困难是短期的,很快就能解决。
    和这位会计专业学生的情境性失眠不同的是,现在大多数人都受到长期缺乏睡眠的困扰。

    文中的situational insomnia就是“情境性失眠”的意思,其中insomnia意为“不眠症,失眠”。除此之外,常见的失眠类型还有:refractory insomnia (顽固性失眠),intermittent insomnia (间歇失眠,称为间断性失眠),Altitude Insomnia (高空性失眠),dawn insomnia (黎明失眠症、黎明失眠),psychophysiologic insomnia (精神生理性失眠)等。
