It is a look many of the flesh-flashing youngsters of today would not dream of wearing.
But Pan Am actress Kelli Garner looked incredible as she donned an all-white dress, which discretely showed off the shapely star's curves as she filmed for the 60s set show in New York.
A gold broach and peach belt accentuated the look as she smiled while waiting for a co-star to take part in a scene with her on the aviation show.
And although she looks fabulous on the acclaimed new programme, the 27-year-old has revealed it is not technically her outfits that help her look so good.
She said: "I wouldn’t say the clothes — I would say the undergarments!"
But the Californian does believe the unique look of the show is a big part of the reason it is appealing to viewers.
She said: "On a surface level, the aesthetic, the clothing, the makeup, the curves accentuating a full-figured woman."
"And I think just where we were at in history, on the cusp of woman’s liberation and civil rights."
"It’s been so cool considering I come from non-traditional schooling and to read each script and learning the most fascinating things in more detail that I was not even aware of."
"It was all fascinating to me. It’s just such a beautiful world they have created for the show."
Pan Am has really taken off with viewers, scoring 10.9 million viewers for ABC on it debut on Sunday, beating the final season premiere of station favourite Desperate Housewives, which attracted 9.7 million.
